What Wouldstock Jambando 2012

A tribute… with a new twist!! Jambando and The Plaza LIVE present What Wouldstock Jambando ’79 asking the question, "What would have happened if THAT festival was
held in 1979?" Featuring the music of the bands that may have played at Woodstock if it were held 10 years later, this concert event includes some of the best musicians in
Orlando paying tribute to classic artists like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Talking Heads, Tom Petty, Steely Dan, Black Sabbath, The Staple Singers, Elvis (yes, he’s still alive and thin in this alternate reality) and many more.
After receiving a cease and desist from the producers of Woodstock, Jambando was forced to reimagine the classic festival and created a new tribute, What Wouldstock
Jambando, annually asking what would have happened if other bands had played under different circumstances. Last year, the show featured artists that were not included on the original bill but should or could have been for various reasons. This year, Jambando goes a step further and 10 years later. 12+ bands have each chosen a classic artist that would have probably played at the historic festival 10 years later in 1979. This ongoing concept of reimagining the quintesential music festival combined with Jambando’s penchant for putting together affordable, quality entertainment will offer yet another new classic rock experience… the possibilities are endless.
Participating Orlando bands this year include The Legendary JC’s, funkUs, Gargamel!, Kaleigh Baker, Paddington Ambush, Sonar, The Outer Toons, Bluelegs, The Goldminers, Bithlo Rising, Daz Voodoo, Nick Landess, BEATLEish, The Simple Cavemen & more as well as the Skull & Bone Band and Green Sunshine, Jambando alum from Tampa, FL.
Jambandos are musical events made possible by the collective efforts and cooperation from participating bands designed specifically for fans of great music and the festival vibe. Last year’s tribute drew over 1500 music fans with bands like Thomas Wynn & The Believers, Shak Nasti, funkUs, Sonar, The Funky Presidents with Eugene Snowden and more, all rising to the challenge of surpassing previous successes.
