Everyday Ghosts CD Release
Everyday Ghosts CD Release
"Earthy rock, driving funk, and the energy of a pack of elephants on parade...Everyday Ghosts has stomped their way into the Orlando music scene with shows including everything from Tanquerays to House of Blues, Firestone, FMF, and Jambando. As a relative newcomer, the band has already seized listeners’ attention and was named one of the top 3 rock bands in the 2011 Orlando Weekly "Best Of".

The Everyday Ghosts style their music as “tribal-rock”, drawing upon many rhythmic influences including funk, afrobeat, Latin and jazz to create a unique sound that resonates familiarity but invokes the exotic as well while providing the perfect landscape for front man Robert Johnson’s vocal tales of life, adventure, and social consciousness. Since the introduction of Ben Browne on drums, the musical direction of the band continues to delve into new territory and has shifted from traditional structured songs to centering on live improvisation and creating an infectious, danceable energy that radiates in the Everyday Ghosts' high-powered performances. www.TheEverydayGhosts.com
Mad Sexual Genius
Mad Sexual Genius
Born in the swamps of Florida, Mad Sexual Genius offers a sweet, sticky blend of hip-hop, soul, funk and rock. The members of this quintet draw on a broad range of influences from both the old school (Stevie Wonder, Sly and the Family Stone) and the new (The Roots, Erykah Badu, Roy Hargrove).
MC/Vocalist, Orign is known worldwide in the hip-hop underground for his musical and artistic collaborations with such legends as Prince Po of Organized Konfusion, Killah Priest of Wu Tang Clan, and Vast Aire of Cannibal Ox. The gentlemen providing the musical foundation are guitarist John Krasula, bassist Greg Jungbluth, drummer Nik Ritchie and trumpet player Matt McCarthy. They will be releasing their first EP at the Plaza 'Live' on Friday, September 30th.
The Dropa Stone
The Dropa Stone
Often described as a groovy fusion of rock with rhythm and blues, THE DROPA STONE are known for their powerful live performances and contagious original music. Weaving a landscape of visually-enhancing sounds, the group displays an uncanny ability to meld together distinctive melodies through unique vocals, guitar wizardry, a skillful rhythm section and ever-evolving story telling.

Founded in 2007 by Jon Meyers (Vocals/Guitar) and Joe Lederman (Drums), two friends conceptualized a vision and recruited Justin Henry (Lead Guitar) and Will Richey (Bass) to complete the lineup. Mining a wealth of influences ranging from Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd to Soundgarden and Incubus, they have applied their talents to create an imaginative avant-garde sound through a common bond of passion and inspiration. Spreading their musical energy through their latest studio release and a must-see live show, each concert proves to be a unique experience for audiences as the band combines a tapestry of rock, funk, blues and reggae through the art of improvisation. The new lineup debuted on a tour of the west coast which saw them perform at renowned venues such as THE VIPER ROOM in Los Angeles, CA.
Black Tent Revival
Black Tent Revival
Ask any member of BLACK TENT REVIVAL to describe their sound and, without hesitation, they’ll reply: rock and fucking roll. Unapologetically influenced by the hard-rock bands of the seventies, the rag-tag group of twenty-something’s have drawn comparisons to such legendary bands as Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, and AC/DC. With a stock pile of badass songs, a dirty cigarette-stained image, and the live performance to back it up, it’s not hard to see why. Their songs, ranging from bluesy to hard-driving, are full of hook-after-hook and heart-stopping dynamics, anchored by the all-mighty infectious groove. This in turn lays the foundation for their live show; where they truly shine. With each performance, they play with ferocity; bringing a level of excitement more akin to an arena than a night club. Their broad appeal is underscored by a diverse, ever-growing fan-base and many recent successes that include winning Orlando Harley Davidson’s bike week battle of the bands, a positive review in the national magazine Music Connection, air play on Orlando’s #1 rock station WJRR, and opening for such national acts as Pat Travers and Soul Asylum. Heavily armed with a rock and roll arsenal, BLACK TENT REVIVAL has set out to change the landscape of modern music.
